AI SEO: get named when customers ask AI who to use.
ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode don't hand people ten blue links. They give a short list of named businesses. If you're not on it, you lose the enquiry, and nothing in your analytics tells you it happened.

What it actually is
You can't buy your way into the answer. You earn your way in.
The industry has a new acronym every quarter: GEO, AEO, LLMO, AI SEO. Underneath, it's mostly good SEO. AI engines pull their answers from pages they can read, trust and quote. Make your site the clearest, most credible answer to your customers' questions and you get named, in Google's results and in AI answers.
So I don't sell a separate GEO subscription on top of SEO. That's the same work sold twice. What's genuinely new is the checking: asking the AI engines the questions your customers ask, seeing who they name, and shaping your pages until it's you.
How it works
What gets a business into the answer.
Structure engines can read
Clean HTML, fast pages and schema markup, so a machine can tell exactly what you do, where, and for whom. It's standard in every site I build. On a slow, bloated theme it's the first fix.
Pages that answer questions
AI engines quote pages that state things plainly: what it costs, how long it takes, what's included, what can go wrong. Vague brochure copy gets skipped. Specific answers get cited.
Authority worth citing
A handful of relevant mentions on credible sites outweighs a hundred directory listings. Trade bodies, accreditation lists, proper local press and industry sites are the sources AI leans on.
Checked every month
Every month I ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google the questions that matter for your business and record who gets named. You see where you stand, not just where you rank.
Ask ChatGPT yourself
Sites I've built, named in the answer.
Every site below was built by me. Ask the AI engines the same questions and check.
Two of four names, one client
Ask ChatGPT for Maytag fridge repairs in London and the client's site is the first recommendation. For Amana, a sister site I built ranks first and the main site is listed too.
On the shortlist every month
Named in ChatGPT's shortlist in every monthly check, sometimes first, citing an accreditation listing. The site also ranks #1 organically and has a Google knowledge panel.
First for Google Ads consultants
Ask ChatGPT for a Google Ads consultant in Essex and this site is the first recommendation, citing its own pages and the free audit.
£35M in revenue, UK and US
From launch on Shopify to £35M in revenue across UK and US sites. #1 for its core terms in both markets for years, and still #1 six months after the brand was acquired, with no new content or links.
Where it fits
Ads first. SEO second. AI follows.
Google Ads shows movement inside a month. SEO takes three to five months to pay back. AI visibility comes out of doing the SEO properly, so that's the order I run it in, by choice. If you're already spending on ads, the tracking and landing pages built for them become the foundation AI engines read.
See where you stand
A baseline of the questions your customers ask AI, who gets named today, and which sources the engines trust in your market.
Give them a reason to name you
Structure, schema, pages that answer the real questions, and authority from the sources AI already cites.
Widen the net
More questions, more services, more locations, checked monthly so you can see what moved.
Paid, not earned
Can you pay to appear in AI? Sometimes.
ChatGPT now sells ads underneath its answers, and Google shows ads around its AI Overviews. Those are ads, not recommendations. They sit next to the answer, not inside it. They can be worth testing, but they don't replace being the business the AI actually names.

Questions
AI SEO, answered.
What's the difference between AI SEO, GEO and AEO?
Very little in practice. Generative engine optimisation (GEO, often spelled optimization) and answer engine optimisation (AEO) both mean getting your business named and cited in AI answers. AI SEO is the umbrella term. The work underneath is the same.
Is GEO different from normal SEO?
Mostly not. The same things that earn rankings earn AI citations: clear pages, solid structure, real authority. What's new is checking and shaping what the AI engines actually say about you, question by question.
Which AI engines do you cover?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode.
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend me?
No. Nobody can, and anyone who promises it is guessing. What I can do is show you where you stand now, fix what's stopping you being named, and check it every month so you can see what changed.
How long does AI SEO take?
Similar to SEO: usually three to five months before it pays back, sooner if your site is already in decent shape and it's the content or structure holding you back.
How much does it cost?
It isn't sold as a separate product. It's part of the SEO and site work, quoted as one fixed monthly figure after a call, because I can't price a site I haven't looked at.
