Google Vehicle Ads

Google Vehicle Ads for car and van dealers

Your stock in Google's vehicle ads — photo, price, mileage, your name on it. Someone clicks and lands on your site, looking at your vans. Not a portal with twenty other dealers' vans next to yours.

I build the feed from your stock, get you approved, fix your tracking and run the ads.

You're paying for clicks that land on someone else's site

Most dealers advertise through the portals. The portals run the ads, decide where they show and how, and send the click to their own site. The buyer lands on a page with your van and a scroll of everyone else's.

You pay for the visit. Someone else keeps the visitor.

Vehicle ads change who owns the click. Your dealership name sits on the ad, so people see who you are before they click. They land on your site and browse your stock. And because you're running them yourself, you see what each click cost and what it turned into.

Vehicle ads are still new in the UK. Most dealers in your area won't be running them yet.

What I set up

The feed

Built from the stock on your website, kept in step as vans come in and go out. Photos checked so they meet Google's image rules — logos and overlays are a common reason ads get rejected.

The accounts

Merchant Center, the vehicle ads application, Google Ads. Set up and configured so the feed and the ads get approved.

The tracking

Calls, forms and enquiries measured properly before a penny goes on ads, so you know which ads produce enquiries and which don't.

I don't publish the build process. What matters to you is the outcome: your stock in the ads, approved, and every enquiry traced back to where it came from.

Same method I use in every sector

Track

Most dealers I talk to are advertising blind — spend spread across portals and ads, no clear picture of which one produces enquiries. Fix the measurement first.

Fix

Broken tags, phone numbers that can't be tracked, analytics nobody has access to. Sort the site so the numbers can be trusted.

Scale

Then put the money where the enquiries come from. Vehicle ads are one part of that. Over time you can make better calls on every portal subscription too.

Most agencies skip tracking. We start there.

On ClickDealer? That's fine.

Plenty of dealers run their website on ClickDealer. You don't need to move, and you don't need to touch the site yourself. I work with ClickDealer on your behalf — you send one email introducing me, and I deal with them from there.

That's how it worked for Braintree Van Sales.

Braintree Van Sales

Their site runs on ClickDealer. They had no access to Google Analytics and no clear view of their website traffic. The site carried a pile of tags from different sources, and the phone numbers weren't set up to be tracked.

I audited the site, consolidated the tags and got the phone numbers fixed through ClickDealer so every call can be tracked. Then I built a vehicle feed from their stock, set up Merchant Center and Google Ads, and got the feed and vehicle ads approved.

The aim: know where every enquiry comes from, and spend accordingly.

What it costs

You pay Google for the clicks, and me for building the feed, keeping it up to date and managing the ads. Fixed quote after the call — I can't price an account I haven't looked at. No long setup contract: Google Ads work runs on a 3-month minimum, then monthly.

Questions

What are Google Vehicle Ads?

Ads that show a specific vehicle from your stock — photo, price, make, model, mileage and your dealership name — in Google search results. The click goes to that vehicle's page on your website.

Do they work for vans as well as cars?

Yes. Braintree Van Sales sells used vans and their vehicle ads are approved and running.

My website is on ClickDealer. Can you still do this?

Yes. You stay on ClickDealer. You send one email introducing me and I work with them directly on anything the site needs.

Will this replace the portals?

Not on day one. Once tracking shows which channel produces enquiries at what cost, you can decide what to keep with real numbers in front of you.

Do I need to do anything technical?

No. I build the feed, set up the accounts and handle the approvals. You keep selling vans.

How quickly can ads be live?

It depends on the feed and the approvals, which Google controls. The call gives you a straight answer for your site.
