Car and van dealers
Marketing for car and van dealers
Most dealers spend thousands a month across the portals and ads with no clear idea which one actually sells the cars. I fix that first. Then Google Ads, vehicle ads and SEO that send buyers to your site, not someone else's.
Google Partner since 2013. 20+ years in search.
Advertising blind
The portal subscriptions go out every month. The ads run. Calls come in. But ask which of those calls came from which channel and most dealers can't say. The website tracking is broken or missing, the phone numbers aren't tracked, and nobody has access to the analytics.
So the budget gets set on gut feel. Some of it is working. Some of it isn't. Without the numbers, you can't tell which.
Track. Fix. Scale.
Track. Get the measurement right. Analytics you own and can see, calls and enquiry forms tracked, tags cleaned up. Every enquiry traced back to where it came from.
Fix. Sort what's broken on the site and in the ads. Phone numbers that can't be tracked, tags firing twice, campaigns built on numbers that weren't real.
Scale. Put the money where the enquiries come from. More into what works, less into what doesn't — across Google and the portals.
Most agencies skip tracking. We start there.
What I do
Tracking and analytics
Google Analytics set up properly and in your name, tags consolidated, calls and forms measured. The foundation everything else sits on.
Google Vehicle Ads
Your stock in Google's vehicle ads, with your name on them, clicking straight to your site. I build the feed from your stock and handle the approvals. Google Vehicle Ads →
Google Ads
Search campaigns for the people looking for what you sell — make, model, body type, your town. Built around the searches that turn into calls and visits. Google Ads management →
SEO
So your site turns up for "used cars near me" and the searches that matter locally, without paying for every click. Runs alongside the ads once the tracking is right. Local SEO →
Your website
On ClickDealer? That's fine. You don't need to move. You send one email introducing me and I deal with ClickDealer directly on whatever the site needs — tracking, phone numbers, tags.
Thinking about a new site? I build websites as well. Whether yours needs replacing is one of the things the call answers — often it doesn't, it just needs fixing.
Braintree Van Sales
A used van dealer in Braintree, Essex, on a ClickDealer site. No access to Google Analytics, no clear view of website traffic, a pile of tags on the site and phone numbers that couldn't be tracked.
I audited the site, consolidated the tags and got the phone numbers fixed through ClickDealer. Then I built a vehicle feed from their stock and got Merchant Center, Google Ads and vehicle ads set up and approved.
The aim is simple: know where every enquiry comes from, and spend accordingly.
One person, start to finish
The person who audits your tracking is the person who runs your ads. No account managers, no handoffs. You deal with me.

Questions
Do you only work with car dealers?
No. I work with contractors and ecommerce brands too. Dealers get work built for them — vehicle feeds, vehicle ads, and dealing with ClickDealer on your behalf.
Do you work with car dealers or van dealers?
Both. Used car dealers, van dealers and mixed forecourts.
My website is on ClickDealer. Can you still help?
Yes. You stay on ClickDealer. One email introducing me, and I work with them directly.
Will this replace Auto Trader and the other portals?
Not straight away, and maybe not at all. The first job is knowing which channel brings enquiries at what cost. Then you decide what to keep with real numbers in front of you.
Where are you based?
Braintree, Essex. I work with dealers anywhere in the UK.
